Terms of service

1. The service

truequote is software, provided by Ameet Pandey, an individual (sole proprietor) based in India, that helps tradespeople create quotes and invoices, send them to customers, and collect electronic signatures.

2. What truequote is not

• Not a payment service. We never hold, transfer or process money between you and your customers. Invoices only display the payment instructions you enter. Any payment is directly between you and your customer.
• Not a party to your jobs. Your contract is between you and your customer. We are not responsible for the work, the price, disputes, or non-payment.
• Not legal, tax or accounting advice. Tax calculations (sales tax, VAT) use rates you configure. You are responsible for their accuracy and for your licences, insurance and filings.

3. Your account

You must be 18 or over and able to enter a contract. You must give accurate information, keep your sign-in secure, and are responsible for everything done under your account. Tell us promptly at pandeyamitbiz@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised use.

4. Free and Pro plans

The free plan has monthly limits that we show in the app. Pro is a paid subscription sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Prices, billing period and renewal terms are shown before you subscribe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your store account. See Cancellation and refunds.

5. Your content and your customers’ data

You own the content you put into truequote. You give us a licence to host, process and display it only to run the service for you. You promise you have the right to use your customers’ personal data for quoting and invoicing, and that you will comply with the laws that apply to you. Our privacy policy explains how we handle data.

6. Electronic signatures

truequote records a customer’s typed or drawn signature together with a timestamp, IP address, device information and a hash of the document. Electronic signatures are generally valid in the US (ESIGN Act, UETA) and the UK (Electronic Communications Act 2000, eIDAS as retained), but some documents or jurisdictions may need other formalities. Consumer cancellation rights (for example the UK 14-day right for contracts made at the customer’s home) may apply to your jobs; you are responsible for including any notices the law requires.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use truequote to break the law, send spam or deceptive quotes, impersonate others, upload malware, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, overload it, or attempt to access other people’s data. We may suspend accounts that do.

8. Intellectual property

The truequote name, logo, software and design belong to us. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the app for your business while your account is open.

9. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep truequote running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or remove features, and will give reasonable notice of changes that significantly harm you.

10. Ending

You can stop using truequote and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access for breach of these terms. Sections that by nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability, governing law) survive ending.

11. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue or data, or for unpaid invoices or customer disputes. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or INR 5,000 if you paid nothing). Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights where you are a consumer.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India have exclusive jurisdiction, without removing any mandatory consumer protection rights you have in your home country.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new date here and tell you in the app or by email for material changes. Continuing to use truequote after that means you accept them.
